Bovina aims to return Main Street to glory days

Bovina, TX - The Chamber of Commerce is working hard to bring business back to Bovina.

While Main Street is no longer packed with businesses like it was in the 1950s, the chamber is not giving up on growing the city's economy.

"We need businesses like a restaurant, a dollar store and other businesses," said Don Spring, the president of the Chamber of Commerce. "We have almost 2,000 in population. That is enough to support some good businesses. We hope they'll come in."

Spring said the chamber is actively trying to attract new businesses to the area so residents have more local options when they shop.
