An Amarillo family is celebrating their new home this weekend.
Saw Moo, Khin May, and their two children, received keys to their new place thanks to Amarillo's Habitat for Humanity.
The family completed 500 volunteer hours and attended 20 educational classes on household responsibility, landing them their first, self-owned home.
For this family, the house offers many great benefits.
"Long term these families, it creates stability for them, it helps with their children's education. It's proven that children in a stable home tend to be more successful than children that are not," said Chas Massey with Habitat for Humanity.
