Happy, TX - A routine traffic stop led to an unlikely discovery for one DPS trooper.

A stop on I-27 near Happy revealed two runway children.

The females were in the sleeper of a truck and had reportedly been picked up by the driver while hitchhiking.

One was released to child protective services and the other to the Youth Center of the High Plains due to an outstanding warrant.
