Clovis police seek suspects in knife-point robbery

Amarillo, TX - Police in Clovis, New Mexico say a car wash employee was robbed by a man with a knife Tuesday morning, and there may be more people involved.

At around 9:15 a.m., officers say they were called to the Hillcrest Car Wash on Walnut Street, where a victim says a man wearing a camouflage jacket followed him into a maintenance room as he was starting the business for the day, pointed a knife at him and demanded cash.

As the suspect fled the business in his vehicle, a blue SUV, officers say a white car followed it out.

Witnesses told officers they spotted the suspect talking with people inside the white car shortly before the alleged robbery took place.

Anyone with information that could lead police to an arrest are urged to call Curry County Crime Stoppers at 575-763-7000.
