Amarillo, TX - A Hutchinson County jury on Wednesday found 19 year-old Shane Richard Tabor guilty of three counts of aggravated sexual assault.
The assaults happened early Christmas morning in 2013, following a gathering the previous night at the home of the 23 year-old female victim.
After the party left in the early morning hours, Tabor returned two times, and hid in a back bedroom before sexually assaulting the victim three times, in three different rooms of the home.
A nurse that saw the victim soon after the assaults occurred testified that injuries to the victim's face and neck were indicative of strangulation.
Following the convictions, the jury deliberated for less than one hour to sentence Tabor to 40 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each count.
Following Texas law, the prison time will be served concurrently.
