HALE CO. - The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report detailing the events of a plane crash near Plainview in late May.
A small passenger plane carrying a family of three crashed on May 29 just after 9:15 P.M. The crash killed all three passengers upon impact.
According to a witness interviewed for the report, the plane's engine was in "full throttle, and traveling down very fast."
Officials on scene that night attributed the severe weather to the plane's crash, but the NTSB says wind was only at 2 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
The NTSB acknowledges the fluctuating winds that night, and say details could change as the investigation continues.
