WTAMU now offers a wedding and event planning course

Amarillo, TX - West Texas A&M is the first small university to offer a course in wedding and event planning in the state of Texas.

The wedding and event planning course will teach you everything you need to know about running a successful party-planning business.

This is a unique course to the panhandle-- because most wedding and event planning certificates can be earned in bigger cities, like Dallas/Forth Worth, San Antonio and Houston.

Classes start September 8th-- every Monday evening for 14 weeks.

The Director of Education on Demand says the panhandle is known to have a lot of quinceaneras in the area. "It really will help people know how to enterprize, know how to do contracts and how to set up events, whether they are weddings or birthday parties or quinceaneras. So it'll be just a copious amount of information and how the whole business runs," says Andrea Porter.

This certificate is nationally recognized and does not have an expiration.
