Goodnight, TX - Area officials believe that strong winds were to blame for a couple of accidents happening overnight.
Texas authorities say strong winds in the Texas panhandle have caused the rollovers of two highway semi trailers.
A Department of Public Safety spokesman says that two people were injured in a wreck Sunday afternoon near Goodnight. Another semi trailer crashed near Claude less than an hour later.
The spokesman also says that both accidents were weather-related. Reports show that thunderstorm wind gusts were at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour at the time of the accidents.
Officials say a man and a woman were hospitalized after the first wreck. Their conditions are unclear, but he says the injuries don't appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.
