National Bean Bag Chair recall after two children die

After two children have suffocated to death, including a boy in Texas, a national recall has been issued for bean bag chairs with zippers.

The Ace Bayou Corporation is spearheading the voluntary recall. The company says the recalled chairs were sold before July 2013 at Bon-Ton, Meijer, Pamida, School Specialty, Wayfair and Wal Mart stores. They were also sold on Amazon.com

A 3 year old girl from Lexington, Ky., and a 13year old boy from McKinney, Texas, died when they climbed inside the chairs and suffocated, according to the consumer agency.

Over 2.2 million chairs are being recalled as a result.

Contact Ace Bayou for a free repair kit to make sure the zippers can not be opened.
