Childress ATV park offers fun for all ages

Childress, TX - There is a giant ATV park just eight miles outside Childress that provides fun and adventure for all ages.

The Childress ATV park offers 600 acres of scenic riding trails, including an adult and child moto-cross track.

The park has three different classifications of trails that incorporate all levels of off-roading skills.

"We've got a blue trail, a black trail and a red trail. The blue trail being kind of like the ski trail is more mild. It's a five mile trail that has nothing hard on it that anyone in the family can ride. The black trail is 13.5 miles. It's a little more difficult from here to there but nothing tremendously hard. And then we have the red trail and red means danger, which means you need to be a better rider to go down," explained park manager Bobby Sanders.

The park is open 24 hours a day, Wednesday through Sunday.

It only costs $10 per person. Sanders said people travel from all over the state to ride in his park, which he built himself back in 2006.
