One man arrested after fleeing from police

Amarillo, TX - One man is now in custody after running from police and being caught with marijuana.

Officers noticed a man in a secured area after business hours Friday night in the 4500 block of Amarillo Boulevard.  

Joe Anthony Uvalle fled officers on his bicycle and into a barbed wire fence where he took off on foot.

Officers tazed Uvalle and he was arrested.

He was wanted out of Potter County for warrants on possession of a controlled substance along with three other convictions.  

He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on all charges.
