AMARILLO - A man is under arrest for firing a gun in a dispute over the weekend.
Amarillo Police officers were dispatched to the 1000 block on SW 14 on Saturday on a potential aggravated assault charge.
When they arrived, APD found many neighborhood members standing in the street. They pointed out a man, Nicholas Jordan Foust, standing on the porch to his home, and said he had threatened an individual and fired a shot into the ground.
After being confronted by officers, the the 27-year-old retreated back into his home. Foust came back out when the the police began using the patrol car's loud speakers to communicate.
Police recovered the shell casing from the single shot and determined Foust did fire his gun over a neighborhood dispute. Foust is booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
