AMARILLO - The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on July 3.
The victims, two adult women, were robbed at gunpoint after traveling to S. Florida St. to purchase a car. Upon their arrival, the victims were told by a another couple the person they were supposed to buy the vehicle from was not present, but would be returning shortly. The robbers, one male and one female, went inside the house and returned with a pistol. They confronted the two women who were sitting in a car.
Both subjects took off on foot after stealing one of the women's purse. No injuries were sustained during the robbery.
The only description available of the suspects is a white male in his late 30's with a beard, and the female described as 5'8", 150 lbs.
