Pampa Regional Medical Center has received new digital equipment used for surgeries and for their ICU

Amarillo, TX -- Over 15 million dollars is being spent on new and updated equipment for the Pampa Regional Medical Center.

After using 9-year-old equipment the Pampa Regional Medical Center received new digital equipment for surgeries.

In the radiology department there are new digital monitors and digital cameras with  wireless TV screens, which is used for surgeries including taking out a gallbladder.    

The CEO of the medical center says the new equipment will benefit patients by making procedures more accurate and faster.

"Our surgical equipment is brand new and up to date so we're excited about that then also all of our monitoring systems throughout the hospital have changed and they are new." says Brad Morse, CEO Of Pampa Regional Medical Center

The medical equipment is funded through doctor Prem Reddy, who is the owner of Prime Healthcare Services.  

The recent new equipment in the radiology department as well as in the ICU has brought over 300 jobs to Pampa.
