Walking for wounded warriors

Posted: Updated:
It's day 97 in, close to a 3,000 mile journey. Josh Lydell is walking across the United States to raise awareness and funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a non-profit organization working to help wounded soldiers.

It's a trip that holds a special meaning for veteran Josh Lydell.

"What I'm doing this for is for my brothers and sisters that have been injured as veterans. It tends to be that we're apathetic toward the cause because we just don't remember those people are out there. Especially veterans, veterans can tell you right off the bat they are very often forgotten. That's unacceptable to me. I'm able-bodied and i can take these steps so i'm taking the steps my brothers and sisters maybe can't right now," he said.

His trip started in Charleston South Carolina, and will take him  to San Francisco California.
