Slain baseball player trial continues

Duncan, OK -  The case against the teens involved in the shooting death of a college baseball player in Oklahoma continues to build. One of the four teenagers charged in the shooting death of the East Central University baseball player from Australia is due in court.

Sixteen-year-old James Francis Edwards Jr. is due in court today. Francis is charged with first-degree murder and accessory after the fact in the death of 22 year-old Chris Lane.

Lane was preparing for his senior baseball season at ECU when he was shot while on a jog during a visit to his girlfriend's parents back in August. Investigators say he was randomly targeted by ``bored'' teenagers.

Prosecutors have said they will  drop the first-degree murder charge against Edwards if he continues to testify against two of the other teens accused of firing  the gun and driving the car. The fourth person is being accused of hiding the weapon.
