Three Killed In Area Car Accidents Over The Weekend

Four people are killed, and at least three remain in the hospital after several weekend wrecks in our area.

On Saturday afternoon in Hemphill County a pick-up traveling on Highway 60 rolled over.

According to the Department of Public Safety, The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger is stable at a hospital in Amarillo.

On Saturday evening just south of Fritch, DPS reports An SUV entered the oncoming highway lane and hit a mini-van head on.

The driver of the SUV is in serious condition while the driver of the mini-van was killed.

One of the mini-van passengers remains in serious condition.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor. 

On Sunday evening near Dimmitt, the DPS reports a car ran a stop sign at FM 1-45 and Highway 3-85, hitting a  pick-up.

The driver of the car and the passenger of the pick-up were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pick-up remains in serious condition.
