New trails at Lake Meredith open for hikers and bikers

Posted: Updated:
New trails at Lake Meredith opened up this weekend in hopes of attracting more people to the area.

The drought has severely reduced water levels, forcing officials to come up with creative ways to bring more people in.

One way to attract people is adding new hiking and biking trails, which happened this weekend.

The new trails are open every day and free to public.

Rangers say they are also planning on opening additional trails later this summer.
