Edgar Thomas sentenced to ten years in prison

Amarillo, TX - A Clovis man is sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to several violent crimes.

The District Attorney's office says on separate occasions in 2013, 42 year-old Edgar Thomas robbed a man at gunpoint, assaulted a police officer, and hit a man with a hammer at a hardware store.

Thomas pleaded guilty to armed robbery, false imprisonment, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a felon, and now faces ten years in prison.
