Goodnight Historical Center is hosting Ivan Cates and members of the Southwest Cowboy Poets Association

Saturday May 3, 2014 on the grounds of the recently restored Charles and Mary Anne Goodnight’s 1887 home, The Goodnight Historical Center is hosting Ivan Cates and members of the Southwest Cowboy Poets Association will be performing cowboy poetry and music. 

Bar H Chuck Wagon will be serving BBQ Brisket from 11:00-2:00.  The West Texas A&M University Herdsmen and Mascot: Thunder 11.  The first mascot was provided by Col. Goodnight in 1922.

Grammy winning band, Brave Combo to perform at Gem Theatre May 3, 2014 at 7:30 pm

Brave Combo has 2 Grammy Awards and 7 Grammy Nominations will be performing in the historic 1915 Gem Theatre in Claude Texas Saturday May 3, at 7:30pm.  They have been based in Denton for more than three decades.  Brave Combo has perfected a world music mix that includes salsa, meringue, rock, cumbia, conjunto, polka, zydeco, classical, cha cha, the blues, and more.
