APD searching for armed robbery suspect

Amarillo, TX - Police continue to search for a suspect who they say robbed a Toot 'n Totum Saturday night at knife point. 
They say the suspect walked into the convenience store in the 4000 block of S. Washington St. around 9:30 p.m.

Officers say he had a large knife and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk before he left. They say he was last seen walking southbound toward 41st Ave. 

The suspect is being described as a Hispanic male in his 30's. Witnesses tell police he is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 200 pounds. They say he was wearing sunglasses, a tan coat with a hood, a black shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
