Vintage car show helps fund success at Martha's Home April 27, 2014 at 12:30 AM CDT - Updated July 27 at 7:00 AM For years, Martha's Home in Amarillo has helped homeless women and their children get back on their feet. To make sure this continues to happen, a local group helped to support their cause on Saturday. The High Plains Thunderbirds hosted their 13th annual "Day of Thunder Car Show" More than 20 vintage cars were shown off. There was also live music, free food and games. Event organizers say the best part is that all of the proceeds are donated directly to Martha's Home. Martha's Home also provides counseling, life skill training, and helps women find jobs within the community.
