16 year-old in stable condition after being stabbed over the weekend

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -
Amarillo, TX - A 16 year-old is now listed in stable condition after being stabbed over the weekend according to police.

The APD says the boy was found in the Westminster Apartments parking lot, on 2415 S. Coulter, just after 10 p.m. Friday night.
     
Police say the suspect, who is being identified as 44 year old Bobby Shoemaker was seen leaving the scene in a yellow car.  

A short time later, police caught up to Shoemaker and arrested him for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center.  

Officers say the incident happened after an apparent case of road rage. 

Police are not releasing the identity of the teen.
