Colon Cancer run helps raise awareness

Amarillo, TX -  Hundreds of area runners gathered at the Amarillo Endoscopy Center on Plum Drive to join the fight against colon cancer.  

Saturday the Third Annual Colon Cancer Awareness Challenge hopes to raise awareness about colon cancer, prevention and early detection.
The run kicked off at 9 in the morning and included a 5-K challenge and a 2-K fun run.
   
Participants also enjoyed music, food and gifts. 30 free colonoscopies were also raffled off.
