Amarillo, TX - The final person in connection with the Amarillo drug ring sting has been sentenced.
Omar Mendoza, who is said to have ties to a Mexican Drug Cartel received his sentence Thursday afternoon.
Now all 13 of the suspects who were arrested in September after a two year investigation, are behind bars.
Together, they have been sentenced to more than 91 years combined with multiple charges ranging from distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine to operating an illegal gambling operation.
Court documents show Mendoza has the longest sentence of 18 years behind bars. He also faces three years of supervised probation upon release.
