One man is dead after two semi trucks collided last night in Hartley county.
The Department of Public Safety says one of those semi trucks was stopped at red light on US 54, when the other truck failed to stop. That driver hit the rear of the stopped truck and was pronounced dead on the scene due to his injuries.
The other truck driver was transported but then released from Coon Memorial Hospital in Dalhart.
DPS troopers say inattention and possible distraction within the truck that hit the stopped semi may be the reason for the wreck.
