One dead, one injured in wreck near Hereford

Amarillo, TX - One man is dead following a rollover wreck in Deaf Smith County.

Texas state troopers say Wednesday on FM 1058 near Hereford, 83 year-old Luz Mendoza failed to control the speed of his pick-up and rear-ended another pick-up on the road, causing Mendoza's truck to flip.

He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver was treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers say neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
