CANYON, TX (KFDA) - A record setting 42 teams made up of students from 19 middle schools in the panhandle met on Saturday morning to show off their smarts at the Pantex Science Bowl.
The event gives students a chance to answer questions with topics focusing on science, math and physics.
Pantex employees run the event that is hosted every year at West Texas A&M University.
Organizers say the Jeopardy style competition is a way to inspire students to study math, engineering and science.
The winning team will have a chance to represent our area at the national competition in Washington D.C.
