Three Arrested In I-40 Drug Bust

Amarillo, TX-Three people with ties to a local drug ring were arrested in a traffic stop on Sunday.

The stop happened on I-40 Sunday night near Conway. During the traffic stop, authorities found more than 13 pounds of meth inside the car's hood. The drugs were worth more the $487,000.

The driver, 35 year-old Carlos Eymard Quintana-Rincones of Tijuana, Mexico, was arrested.

With the help of the DEA, officials were able to link the drugs to a local drug ring where two more arrests were made. 

Quintana-Rincones will face federal charges. The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Tijuana, Mexico, to Little Rock, Ark.
