Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Fire department is investigating the cause of two early morning fires.
The first, a structure fire, broke out on the 3400 block of 10th street, near Grand, around 2:00 this morning.
After the fire appeared to be contained it re-ignited keeping the AFD there till around 6:30am.
No cause for the fire has been released.
Just minutes later a second fire was called in, this time located in the 5300 block of Tumbleweed in south Amarillo.
NewsChannel 10 crews spoke to firefighters on scene who said the residents were able to get of the house without injury although a family pet did require emergency care.
Local Red Cross workers provided the family with food and other immediate needs.
The fire started in the kitchen and was ruled accidental.
