AMARILLO, TX - A group of people, including NewsChannel 10's Jacob Albracht, took to the basketball court in wheelchairs Sunday afternoon to support the One Chair at a Time organization.
The fundraiser benefits four local athletes that are wheelchair bound. Money raised will help pay for new athletic chairs that will make playing sports easier.
Those athletes got to take to the court today, for a fun fundraising game. "We're going to mix them in with able body people and let them compete in wheelchair basketball," Joe Chris Rodriguez, founder of One Chair at a Time said. "These four athletes are going to step onto the track to compete for their schools, and be apart of the team."
One Chair at a Time is a non-profit organization that helps young adults with physical disabilities by providing sport wheelchairs.
