Amarillo, TX - Speed is said to have been a factor in a wreck Wednesday that sent three people to the hospital.
Around 5:30 Wednesday afternoon, Amarillo police say a black HHR was going the wrong way on a turn-around under the overpass at I-40 and Coulter and caused a four car pile up.
The driver is said to have lost control of his vehicle, drove over a median hitting a van waiting at a light on the frontage road which then hit two other vehicles.
The driver of the van was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car that lost control and another driver hit in the crash were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Amarillo police say narcotics are a possible factor in the collision.
