Wellington Skyrockets to state championship for first time

Wellington, Texas - A panhandle team will be battling it out for a state championship.

The Wellington Skyrockets will be making their way down to Arlington on Thursday to take on the Falls City Beavers for the UIL 1A State Championship.

Wellington took down Albany this weekend 46-20 to get their bid to play for the state title.

This is the Skyrockets first ever time playing in the state championship game in school history.
