Education, it is the hot topic in the race for governor of Texas.
The governors race between Attorney General Greg Abbott and state Senator Wendy Davis is heating up, and both are making visits to classrooms across the lone star state.
Abbott is expected to make a stop at a San Antonio charter school Wednesday. Sources say he is looking for input from teachers across the state before unveiling his education platform early next year.
Education is one of Wendy Davis' main issues. In 2011 she gained the support of many teachers after blocking more than $5 million in cuts to education funding with a Senate filibuster.
