Woman sentenced to seven years for her role in dumping body near Vega

A California woman is sentenced to seven years in prison for her role in the dumping of a man's body near Vega in 2010.

Demi Muniz was sentenced this week. In January, she was convicted of conspiracy to transport and harbor immigrants.

Investigators say the victim was illegally being smuggled from Mexico to Los Angeles when he became ill.

Muniz refused to take him to the hospital. When the man died she dumped his body in a ditch off of I-40.
