North Texas has 5th earthquake in last week

AZLE, Texas (AP) - North Texas has recorded its fifth earthquake in the past week.

The U.S. Geological Survey says two tremors were detected between Mineral Wells and Jacksboro, from 50 to 55 miles northwest of Fort Worth.

The first registered a 2.8 magnitude and came shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday. A scale used by the USGS describes that as a vibration feeling like the passage of light trucks. The second, at 2.41 a.m. Thursday checked in as a 3.6-magnitude quake, a vibration feeling like passing of heavy trucks.

No damage or injuries have been reported.
