UPDATE: Drive-by shooting, 2 in custody

Amarillo, TX - Two men in custody are believed to be involved with Tuesday's drive-by shooting.

Police tracked down shooting suspect 17 year-old Christian Mata at a north Amarillo home.

Upon gaining consent to search the home police found the alleged driver 20 year-old Alan Licon who had six outstanding unrelated warrants.

Both men were taken to the Potter County Detention Center and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Amarillo, TX - Two men are booked into the Potter County Jail in connection with a drive-by shooting late Tuesday morning.

Amarillo police responded to a call around 11am of a woman claiming a man pointed a gun at her at her house and demanded the location of her son.

The suspect left and shortly after police received a call of shots fired in the 1800 block of north Highland street, near the Martin Road Park.

Two bullets struck a home, but no one was injured.

Police later tracked down a suspect vehicle for both incidents and arrested two men.

They say the victim was at the Sanborn park around 2:30 a.m. when he was approached by the suspects. Officials say the victim was stabbed twice in the abdomen and was transported to the hospital.
