Amarillo, TX - State troopers find nearly a quarter of a million dollars worth of marijuana stuffed in a vehicle traveling across the panhandle.
During a routine traffic stop on US Highway 84 near Sudan at around 10:30 Saturday night, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers say they found 53 one-pound bundles of marijuana stashed between lumber in the bed of a pick-up.
The drugs are reportedly worth more than $246,000. 30 year-old Marissa Norman of Barnsdall, Oklahoma was charged with felony possession of marijuana and booked in to the Bailey County jail.
Troopers believe the marijuana was en route from Washington state to Oklahoma.
