Stepheny Frederiksen

Stepheny joined NewsChannel 10 in October 2013. She comes to KFDA from Kansas, where she was born and raised. She graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Mass Communications. Before reporting full-time as NewsChannel 10's Early show reporter, she worked as a producer for the 5 and 6 pm newscasts at KFDA.

While attending Wichita State University, Stepheny completed an internship at KAKE TV, the ABC affiliate, in Wichita, as a sports intern where she reported, shot, edited, and produced, Kansas high school sports and coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs, University of Kansas Athletics, and Wichita State Athletics.  In addition to her internship work Stepheny worked for Wichita State Athletics as a ticket office assistant. After graduating from WSU, she moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma and worked for Oklahoma State Athletics as a ticket office retention representative and host of all the Oklahoma State Athletics special sports series on Fox Sports Net Southwest. She recently moved from El Paso, Texas were she was an account executive for the San Diego Padres Triple A Affiliate Baseball Club. 

Stepheny loves staying active and also enjoys yoga, competing in 5 and 10K's, traveling, painting, and attending sporting events. She is a passionate sports fan and bleeds orange for her favorite teams, the Denver Broncos and Oklahoma State Cowboys! She also loves the Colorado Rockies and stays true and loyal to her alma mater Wichita State Shockers! If you see Stepheny around town, feel free to say hi and welcome her to her new Texas home!
