Local Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison After Guilty Plea in a 2012 Deadly Amarillo Robbery

An Amarillo man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to a robbery charge in a 2012 home invasion.

Timothy Francisco Lopez, pleaded guilty to the charge on Friday after Randall County prosecutors agreed to drop a murder charge against him.

Last year, Lopez and his sister Jessica Median were indicted on murder charges in the death of Gabriel Castillo, who died after a home invasion on South Highland Street in Amarillo, near Caprock High School.
