Three inmates escape from Roosevelt County Jail

New Mexico authorities remain on the hunt for one man accused of a violent crime after he and two other inmates escaped from the Roosevelt County Jail late Friday night.

According to the Clovis News Journal, the three inmates were discovered missing around 11:00 Friday night.

Two of the inmates, Abran Baeza and Noel Webb, were captured early Saturday morning but the third, 31-year-old Robert Claudio, remains at large.

Police believe they escaped after gaining access to the roof from within the cell area.

Claudio was originally being held on charges of Aggravated Battery and Probation Violation.
