Plainview man remains hospitalized following wreck in south Amarillo

Amarillo, TX - A 31-year old Plainview man remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a wreck in south Amarillo.

It happened just after 9:00 Wednesday evening at the underpass at I-27 and Hillside.

Investigators say the driver of the pickup was heading south on the Canyon E-way when the vehicle went over the embankment and crashed into the other embankment on the opposite side of Hillside.

Authorities say speed and alcohol were factors.
