Amarillo, TX - After being convicted on federal charges, one Amarillo doctor will remain in jail without bond until his sentencing in November.

That ruling was made Monday by U.S. District Judge Mary Lou Robinson in the case of anesthesiologist Edgar Lockett.

Prosecutors filed a motion last week to deny Lockett's request to post bond, saying the doctor is a flight risk who could hide in his private, underground bunker.

Lockett was convicted earlier this month of tax evasion worth over 1.4 million dollars since 1999.
