Troopers uncover 12 pounds of meth

Amarillo, TX - Texas Department of Public Safety troopers say nearly half a million dollars worth of methamphetamines was found during a traffic stop.

On Interstate 40 Friday evening near Conway, troopers found 12 bundles of meth stashed inside a car door.

The bundles, all together, weighed 12 pounds and were worth more than $460,000.

Two New Mexico residents, 28 year-old Alejandro Garcia-Gordillo of Los Rancho 25 year-old Carlos Vasquez-Mendoza of Albuquerque, were arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

Troopers believe the drugs were being taken from Albuquerque to Oklahoma City.
