Posted: Updated:

Amarillo, TX - A local man has announced his candidacy for District 87 state representative - and not for the first time.

Abel Bosquez, a Democrat and President of the Amarillo Central Labor Council, announced he is running for the third time for the seat currently held by Amarillo Republican Walter "Four" Price.

Bosquez says education and jobs are two of his highest priorities.

In a phone conversation, Price says he welcomes any challengers and looks forward to a spirited and democratic race.
