Fugitive with multiple warrants captured by Police

Amarillo, TX - A fugitive with multiple warrants is captured by Police in an Amarillo neighborhood.

2 year-old Thiraphong "Austin" Vongphrachanh had warrants for evading arrest, unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving while intoxicated.

In a routine traffic stop near 9th and Heather Tuesday night police stopped a vehicle driven by Vongphrachanh. The suspect fled and led police on a short chase which ended when the suspect crashed his vehicle into a fence on northeast 24th.

Vongphrachanh faces new charges of possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm and evading arrest with a vehicle.
