Posted: Updated:

Amarillo fire officials responded to a call early Sunday morning.

Five units responded to a fire at 1606 S. Lincoln just before 3:30 Sunday morning.

The unit on fire was reported as unoccupied, and the occupants of the uninvolved unit had left the scene.

Most of the heavy fire damage was in the rear rooms of the involved unit but there was smoke damage throughout the duplex.

A fire marshal was called to scene, but so far the cause of the fire hasn't been released.
