The water main break in Dumas has been repaired but the Boil Water Advisory has not been lifted for all residents in the area.
Customers who did not experience any water pressure problems following the break may resume normal water use, including outdoor watering. However, those customers who did experience any water pressure loss on Friday, August 16, should continue to boil their water prior to consumption. Specific areas that may still be affected include Mooretex customers, DeKalb addition and parts of Dumas south of 14th Street.
Water samples are being tested, and the City of Dumas will issue another notice when the advisory has been lifted for everyone. If you have any questions, you're encouraged to contact the City of Dumas water utilities office at 935-4101 during business hours, or 935-2151 for after-hours and weekends.
