Man killed in forklift accident

Amarillo, TX - A forklift operator is killed in an accident Monday morning while working on a roofing project.

Using a forklift, 50 year-old Walter Faux was loading roofing materials onto a tractor trailer in the 4600 block of Bushland Boulevard just before 7:30 a.m.

When crossing the street, the forks hit a pick-up traveling down the road, which caused the forklift to tip over.

Faux was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
