APD and SWAT apprehend suspect barricaded in motel bathroom

Amarillo police and the SWAT Team were called out to the Amarillo Value Inn late Saturday afternoon on reports of a wanted suspect at the Inn.

After being tipped off that a wanted suspect was at the Inn, officials arrived on scene to try to serve the felony warrant. 

The suspect, later identified as Randy Terrell Trotter ran from police and entered a nearby motel room, where he barricaded himself in the bathroom.

After a short time, officials were able to apprehend Trotter peacefully, and place him under arrest.
